Our flexibility is our success. Kollel Libo Chafetz encourages independence in learning. We support the avreich's choice to learn that part of Torah that's his personal passion. Be it halacha, mussar, hashkafa…. Hence the name Libo Chafetz – the heart's desire - and hence the tremendous success in learning, because when you give someone the choice… nothing stands in the way of the ratzon. With over 20 established chaburos in varied areas of shas, our 180 avreichim metzuyanim have opportunities for individual growth, which leads to our kollel producing Rabanim, dayanim, roshei yeshiva, mashgichim, sofrim, and more!  

Food packages

350 food packages including the necessities for the chag are given out each chag to avreichim talmedei chachamim in a huge operation organized by Kollel Libo Chafetz.  

Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Cohen - Rosh Kollel

Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Cohen believes in bringing out the best in people! From an encouraging word to an atmosphere where avreichim feel both committed and inspired, Rabbi Cohen supports the avreichim to achieve their full potential. Besides his illustrious learning background, including Tora Temima, Brisk and the Mir Yeshiva, Rabbi Cohen helped to establish the Amal HaTorah and Bair HaTorah chederim in Modiin Illit. After the petira of his beloved brother-in-law and upon request from his sister’s family, Rav Cohen took over as Rosh Kollel of Libo Chafetz in 2006 and has been leading the Kollel with true dedication ever since.
