Located in various hospitals in the New York Tri State area, Chesed 24/7 Hospitality Rooms consist of a room or suite of rooms equipped with a refrigerator, kosher cakes and snacks, prepackaged meals and soups, coffee, milk, yogurt, ice cream, and other dairy products, comfortable chairs or recliners, Jewish reading materials, tapes and other sources of inspiration, Shabbos food warmers and any other amenities a Jewish individual would require. More importantly, it offers a quiet place where family members can sit and relax, or receive emotional support from others in similar circumstances. A Chesed 24/7 representative frequents the rooms to interact with patients and their families, offering guidance, support and additional assistance with any issues that may arise.
